Insurance placement
Velaris Insurance Agency, LLC is a licensed insurance agency and places the insurance described on this site with admitted insurers and, where the placement so provides, with surplus lines insurers. Insurance is placed only in states where Velaris Insurance Agency, LLC holds the required license; those states and license numbers are listed below. Where insurance is placed on a surplus lines basis, it is placed with insurers that are not licensed in your state and are not subject to its supervision, and in the event of the insurer’s insolvency, losses are not paid by any state guaranty fund. Whether your coverage is admitted or surplus lines is stated on your certificate or policy.
Program services
Velaris Group, Inc. is the program administrator and claims administrator for the Velaris Protection Program and provides the non-insurance program services described on this site. Velaris Group, Inc. is not an insurance company, does not sell insurance, and does not decide coverage other than as the issuing carrier’s authorized claims administrator. Non-insurance services are provided under the Velaris Program Services Agreement, are not insurance, and are not protected by any state insurance guaranty fund.
Enrollment structure
Depending on how a customer is enrolled, insurance may be provided by certificate under a group master policy, through a purchasing group, or on a policy issued directly to the customer. The applicable structure, the insurer, and any group policyholder or association involved are identified before enrollment and on the certificate or policy.
Affiliates and compensation
Velaris Insurance Agency, LLC and Velaris Group, Inc. are affiliates. Velaris Insurance Agency, LLC receives commission on insurance it places. Velaris Group, Inc. receives program fees and service fees for the services it provides. Neither is compensated by any group policyholder or association unless stated at enrollment.
